Partners

Graham Sweett, C.A., TEP

Graham is a Partner with our General Practice Unit. His duties include managing audits and reviews and providing business advisory, tax and financial planning services to his clients. He is a proven, problem solver who can identify problems, analyze issues and provide practical business solutions.

Hugh A. Davidson C.A., C.B.V

Hugh's practice consists mainly of audit and review engagements of small businesses with emphasis on the local artistic community and specialization in valuations of businesses for sale and/or for income tax planning and preparation of business plans.

Brian J. Horner, C.A., CFP, TEP

Brian is a partner in our Halifax General Practice Group and is responsible for serving a wide range of clients, both large and small, providing audit, accounting, tax planning and compliance, and business advisory services to his clients. His past duties have also included the complete responsibility for all aspects of the human resource activities in the Halifax office of Coopers & Lybrand and co-ordination of the human resources programs with the offices in Truro, Bridgewater, Sydney and Moncton.

Senior Staff Accountant

Trevor is a C.A. with our Halifax General Practice Group and regularly provides client advisory services related to a wide range of client matters typically for the owner manager business client.

Tara L. Magarvey, C.A.
Senior Staff Accountant

Tara, a senior member at our Dartmouth office, practices mainly in the audit and assurance area of the firm. She is responsible for planning and completion of files, financial statements and tax returns, as well as dealing with client concerns.

Tara has experience approaching business challenges from “both sides of the desk” as she has experience as both an Accountant and a Controller.

Melissa joined the Lyle Tilley Davidson team in March 2009. She is a graduate of Mount Allison University where she obtained her B. Comm with Major in Accounting in 1998. She continued on to obtain her Certified General Accountant designation.

Tara Spurr, C.A.
Senior Staff Accountant

Tara graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Co-operative Education Option in May 2000. Tara is a manager with the Halifax General Practice Group and is responsible for planning and completion of files, financial statements and tax returns, as well as dealing with client concerns. Tara manages most of the significant audits of the firm.
