Tara L. Magarvey, C.A.
Background
Tara joined Lyle Tilley Davidson’s Halifax office in 1999; she passed the UFE in 2001 and obtained her CA designation in 2002. She worked for another local CA firm from 2004 to 2006 and was employed as a Controller by a retailer with 21 locations from 2006 to 2008. After being on maternity leave, in 2009 she rejoined Lyle Tilley Davidson’s Dartmouth office on a part-time basis.
Tara graduated with distinction and highest aggregate from Mount Saint Vincent University’s Bachelor of Business Administration, Co-operative Education program in 1999. During her post-secondary studies she completed work terms at a local accounting firm, the Department of Health (Audit & Consulting) and the YMCA.
Professional Experience
Tara, a senior member at our Dartmouth office, practices mainly in the audit and assurance area of the firm. She is responsible for planning and completion of files, financial statements and tax returns, as well as dealing with client concerns.
Tara has experience approaching business challenges from “both sides of the desk” as she has experience as both an Accountant and a Controller.
