Background
Trevor graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce in May 2001 and joined Lyle Tilley Davidson in June 2001. He passed the Uniform Final Examination in 2003 and officially received his Chartered Accountant designation in February of 2004 as well has completed the Canadian Securities Course with Honours.

Trevor has completed Parts I, II, and III of the CICA In-depth Tax Course and in addition is Chair of the firm’s CA Committee that is responsible for implementation of internal policies and procedures related to all aspects of the firm’s practice.

Professional Experience
Trevor is a CA with our Halifax General Practice Group and regularly provides client advisory services related to a wide range of client matters typically for the owner manager business client including:

• Purchase and sale of a business
• Business startups and expansions
• Tax and estate planning and implementation including estate freezes, holding companies, family trusts, alter ego trust planning, etc
• Succession planning
• Tax research on various income tax and GST/HST topics
• Tax compliance
• Notice of objections
• Business consulting services (cashflow management, projections, business plans)
• Business valuations

Trevor continues to partially engage in assurance related services for various clients as well as play a large roll in the firms busy tax season.
